Due to the ongoing situation in Melbourne, we are forced to postpone the Annual General Meeting due on the 20th of September until further notice.
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak the Finnish Society will no longer be open on wednesday until further notice. Any baking days or events that were planned are also no longer going ahead. However, if you are wanting to buy from the shop, please call the caretaker, Kimmo, on (03) 9398 4143 to set an appointment.
The Annual General Meeting of the Finnish Society of Melbourne is fast approaching! Coming on the 22nd of September at 1:00pm, the meeting will be held at the Finnish Hall in Altona.
Come along, have some coffee, help the society on important matters, and/or nominate someone (or yourself) for a position on the committee.
If you cannot make it, you can authorise another member to vote on your behalf by filling out the proxy form, download below, and hand it to a member that will be attending the meeting. These will be collected at the start of the AGM.
Please remember that only members who have paid their fees for the current financial year are eligible to vote. You can pay your membership at the Finnish Hall or Online by EFT. More details about membership
Coffee will be available from the start of the meeting. Hope to see you there!
While the winter winds are blowing, join us at the Finnish hall for some heart-warming soup and pleasant conversations.
There is a choice of three soups. Try one or fill yourself up with all three. The types of soup are yet to be confirmed, but have no doubt, they will be yummy!
Warm yourself up and enjoy the company on these cold winter days.
