The ceremony starts at 12 noon with a church service followed by celebrations.
Coffee and refreshments will be available afterwards. This event isn’t catered so we ask that if you are coming please bring a plate of food to share.
The annual Finnish Christmas Bazaar is here again! The Finnish Hall on 30th of November from 10am to 1pm is THE place to get a little piece of Finland to take home and make your Christmas complete. From delicious foods and baked goods to crafts and other gift ideas there is something for everyone.
Items sell out quickly, so you may want to come in early to get your share of traditional Finnish treats – such as Karelian pasties, rye bread, cinnamon buns, casseroles, coffee, chocolate and sweets – or pop in a bit later to enjoy a less hectic cup of Christmas spirit, meeting friends and good coffee.
If we are nice, Santa Claus will pay a special visit so please bring a small present with your child’s name on it for Santa’s gift sack.
If you’d like a table to sell your goods, please contact the Finnish Hall caretaker, Kimmo Sandstrom, on (03) 9398 4143.
